I don’t have time for men – Ordega

Nigeria’s Francisca Ordega has scored four goals in the ongoing FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. In this interview with Saturday Vanguard in Japan she said that her target is to score eight goals. She also opens up on her relationship with the opposite sex. Excerpts
Happy Feeling
I am so happy that we have come this far especially scoring four goals in three matches. For me, it is so amazing. And I am very happy about it. I am also impressed with what we played against Mexico, though the Mexicans really did well but I am happy that we qualified. It is so amazing.
Drive for scoring goals
It is an inspirational thing. Each time, I am with the ball, I pray for God to give me the direction and because I have mentioned God’s name, the confidence comes in and before you know it the ball is in the net.
Semifinal match against USA
We will come out to do our best and I believe we would come out victorious. Although the USA are a strong side. but we would put our acts together and as well train hard to succeed, I believe they are not the team to stop us in this competition.
Target
Before I arrived japan, my targeted was to score eight goals and I thank God that I have score four goals. Although I have not gotten the eight goals, I believe that with two matches left, that I can still achieve the remaining target.
How I manage my male admirers
Even though I have a lot of male admirers, but the truth is that I do not have time for men now. It is a natural thing that as a girl, for men to admire you and I have to appreciate them, since I am not the creator of myself, so they are free to appreciate me.
Why?
Because I am into a very serious relationship with somebody who is very dear to my heart. I have to stay in arm’s length because I have somebody very dear to my heart.
Preference of being an actress or the best striker in the world,
I want to be the best striker one day, and also the best actress the next.
