Abubakar made the disclosure through Mr Frank Mba, the Police Public Relations Officer at a news conference on Monday in Abuja.
He said the suspects were caught after they were clearly identified in one of the video clips of the incident posted on the Internet.

Abubakar sounded a note of warning to all Nigerians never to take the law into their hands, because Nigeria “is not a lawless country and jungle justice is not the way.
“Two wrongs don’t make a right, ‘’ he stressed, adding that anyone caught taking the law into his hands would face the wrath of justice.
He advised Nigerians with meaningful information that could aid investigation not to hesitate to reach out to the police.
The IG assured Nigerians that a massive deployment of policemen had been made to the area, including detectives to assist the Rivers State Police Command.
“We are investigating every aspect of the killings, including the allegations that some policemen stood idly watching while these hideous act took place.’’
